NU7, today
NU7 activated on testnet on 4 October 2026 and the pool has mined through it since: 25-second blocks, the new subsidy schedule and the new transaction format, all live.
Point any Equihash miner at tazminer.com and TAZ lands in your wallet within the hour. No faucet queue, no captcha, no daily cap: you earn as much as your hashrate is worth, paid to a shielded address if you like.
Port 3333 starts at difficulty 1, so a laptop CPU gets shares within seconds. Testnet hashrate is tiny: one GPU is a large share of the whole network.
Figures as of 22 October 2026. The live site reads them from the dashboard API.
Faucets drip a fixed amount, run dry, and make you wait. A testnet pool pays for work, so the supply is as big as the hashrate you bring, and the coins arrive the same way they will on mainnet.
| A faucet | tazminer.com | |
|---|---|---|
| How much | A fixed drip per request | A few TAZ a day from a laptop CPU, hundreds from one GPU |
| How fast | Queues, captchas, cooldowns | Credited per share, paid every 30 minutes from 0.01 TAZ |
| Where | Often transparent addresses only | Unified testnet addresses (utest1…) or transparent (tm…) |
| What it exercises | Nothing but a web form | Real stratum mining, shielded coinbase and the live payout path your software will meet on mainnet |
No account and no sign-up. Your testnet address is your login.
Any wallet with a testnet mode will give you one. Unified addresses start with utest1, transparent ones with tm. Both are paid.
ASIC, GPU or CPU. URL stratum+tcp://pool.tazminer.com:3333, user address.worker, password x.
Shares are credited the moment they are accepted. Payouts go out every 30 minutes once you pass 0.01 TAZ; follow them at pool.tazminer.com/miner/your-address.
Ports only set the starting difficulty. Vardiff targets about ten shares a minute per worker, so any miner settles on any port within two minutes. The fee on testnet is 1%.
| Port | Made for | Starting difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| 3333 | CPUs, GPUs, anything under 300 KSol/s | 1 |
| 3334 | ASICs, 300 KSol/s to 3 MSol/s | 50,000 |
| 3335 | 3 to 50 MSol/s | 1,000,000 |
| 3336 | 50 MSol/s and up | 10,000,000 |
tazminer runs the same pool software as our mainnet pool, against a Zakura node, with NU7 already live. Whatever you are testing meets the real thing here first.
NU7 activated on testnet on 4 October 2026 and the pool has mined through it since: 25-second blocks, the new subsidy schedule and the new transaction format, all live.
Blocks are mined to a shielded coinbase and payouts can go to unified addresses, so wallet and miner developers can test the full shielded flow with real testnet transactions.
Blocks, payouts, the pool's own profit and loss, luck, and a network view of every testnet block and who mined it. Useful when you need to know what the chain is doing.
The same software runs our mainnet pool: PPS at a 0.1% fee, hourly payouts, shielded coinbase, Zakura nodes.
